The City of Hoover Building Inspections Department is responsible for the enforcement of the adopted building, electrical, fire, mechanical, plumbing, and all other related code necessary to maintain safe environments for the citizens of Hoover. Building Inspections is tasked with issuing permits for building, plumbing, gas, electrical, mechanical, demolition, signs, etc. Once permits are issued Building Inspections completes the appropriate inspections to ensure code compliance.
Building Inspections is responsible for reviewing plans for proposed buildings, additions, and building alterations for Code Compliance.
